As a mum myself (of two teenage boys, both now taller than me), this is a truth I know deep in my heart:
Children don't stay little for long.
One minute their tiny hand is wrapped around your finger, and you are their whole world. The next they're refusing cuddles and talking about driving lessons.
One day soon, the house will be quieter. You'll miss those tiny sticky handprints on everything and the constant demand for hugs.
When that day comes, you won't wish for perfect poses in a studio. You'll want to remember how it all felt.
You'll want real memories: The weight of them sitting on your hip. The way they tuck their hand into yours without thinking. The giggles. The gap-toothed grins.
“Enjoy the little things. For one day you might look back and realise they were the big things.”
Your family photoshoot shouldn't feel forced or stiff. It should be real. The smiles should be natural instead of the result of saying 'cheese'.
We'll head outdoors for an adventure - climbing, exploring and playing games, letting your children be exactly who they are. Whilst you have fun together, I'll capture the natural interaction, the real and fleeting moments. See examples of my family photography here.
It won't feel like a photoshoot, it will feel like real memories and fun together. And you'll walk away with a beautiful set of authentic images that take you straight back to this stage of life.
With 16 years experience of professionally photographing families, I know that some kids love to pose, whilst others want to run around or run away! I know how to gently guide without forcing anything. The result is real fun, real connection, and real smiles.
I’m also very experienced working with neurodivergent children. Parents often compliment the way I interact with their child and help them come out of their shell. Regardless of any labels, you needn't feel concerned about behaviour, I approach every child as the individual they are and gently create an environment they feel comfortable in.
If you're worrying about how you'll look in the photos, you're not alone. I'll help you feel confident and at ease on camera, so you love the images as much as your children enjoy the experience.
When you look back at your photos, all you'll see is love, joy, and the way your children look at you like you're their whole world (because, right now, you are!).

"The fingerprints on the walls will get higher and higher. Then suddenly they disappear."
We are blessed in Windsor with so many beautiful outdoor locations. If you have a favourite outdoor space, please let me know, otherwise I'm happy to recommend my favourite places for adventures.
Outdoor photoshoots are usually best booked between March and November (although if you're an all-weather family, I'm an all-weather photographer!). I'm always flexible as the Great British weather is often unpredictable. You may enjoy heading out in the rain and puddle jumping, but if rain is forecast and you'd prefer to postpone, that's absolutely no problem.
